Race weekend logistics — HYROX Nashville, TN 2026
The practical stuff the official page skips, written for first-timers. Updated 2026-09-09; schedules stay provisional until HYROX publishes individual start times, so confirm your wave on the official event page before you travel.
Getting to the Music City Center
The race is at the Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way South, Nashville, TN 37203 — the huge downtown convention hall two blocks from Lower Broadway. It is HYROX’s first Nashville event and runs five days, Wednesday through Sunday, December 9–13.
From the airport (BNA), WeGo’s Route 18 bus runs between the airport and downtown for a low flat fare; check WeGo’s current timetable for frequency and allow the better part of an hour for the trip. A rideshare is quicker, roughly 15–25 minutes depending on traffic. Downtown itself is walkable — the venue sits between the Gulch, SoBro, and Broadway, and most downtown hotels are inside a 15-minute walk.
Parking
The Music City Center garage is the largest covered garage downtown: three levels, 1,800 spaces, open daily, 24-hour roving security, fully automated with card payment on exit. It is at 701 Demonbreun Street — primary entrance (P3) at 7th Avenue and Demonbreun, with auxiliary entrances (P1 and P2) along 6th Avenue.
- Posted rates (from June 2025): $15 up to 5 hours, $20 up to 9, $25 up to 12, $30 up to 18, $45 overnight. Special-event rates may apply and are posted at the entrance.
- Twelve ChargePoint EV stations, four per level, at standard rates.
- Accessible spaces sit next to the elevators on every level, first-come, first-served.
- Expect the garage to be busy around the 8:00 Men’s and Doubles starts — arrive with a margin, or walk from your hotel.
Where to stay
The Omni Nashville Hotel (250 Rep. John Lewis Way South) is adjacent to the Music City Center — about 0.2 miles, next to the Country Music Hall of Fame — and is the natural pick for early waves. The venue’s own hotel list runs long: Home2 Suites, Tru, Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites all carry “Convention Center” in their names and sit on Rep. John Lewis Way South within a few hundred yards, and the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown/Convention Center is around the corner at 305 Korean Veterans Boulevard; the Renaissance, Hyatt Place, Margaritaville, and JW Marriott are all a short walk.
A five-day HYROX in a downtown that is busy with holiday visitors anyway means the near-venue hotels will be in demand. Book as soon as your race day is confirmed rather than waiting for your individual start time, which only arrives about three days out. The Gulch, about ten minutes on foot, widens the choice.
Check-in and race-day flow
Your individual start time is published about three days before the event and cannot be changed, so plan travel around your division’s window rather than a specific hour until then.
- Bring government-issued photo ID (the rulebook requires it, together with your registration confirmation). Nobody can check in on your behalf.
- Two different 90-minute rules: the check-in desk for your division opens 90 minutes before that division’s first wave, but you can only check in from 90 minutes before your own assigned start time. Arrive inside your window, not before.
- Want to get in earlier to watch or settle your nerves? Go via the Spectator Check-In desk with your athlete ticket and ID.
- Aid stations run before, during, and after the race, and the Thunderdome viewing area overlooks the floor if you want to study the course before your wave.
- Wear the wristband from check-in if you want race photos — the official photographer’s selfie search only finds you with it visible.
- Age-group ceremonies happen after every athlete in a division has finished. If you podium on a weekday, go to the Help Desk with ID for free access to the ceremony and your flag; anyone coming with you needs a spectator ticket.
Weekend schedule (provisional)
Five days, and the published schedule is provisional; treat it as the shape of the week and check the official page for your final wave. Every time below is a start-wave window, not a finish: add your own race time (and the ceremony, if you are in contention) before booking anything for afterwards.

Tickets, changes, and spectators
Spectator tickets are sold separately from athlete entries. Athlete tickets are locked at purchase unless you bought a Flex add-on, and every Flex deadline falls at 7:59 AM in the event’s time zone: Lite Flex allows one name change until 7:59 AM the day before your race day; full Flex adds the same name change plus a refund window (100% until 7:59 AM 31 days before your race day, 50% until 7:59 AM 7 days before), and refunds exclude the Flex and service fees. Changes go through your HYROX account. No event transfers or division changes exist this season, and Flex cannot be added after the fact.
What to bring
- Government-issued photo ID and your ticket on your phone.
- Running shoes with grip you have already trained in — expect a hard indoor floor with turf strips at the sleds and lunges, the usual HYROX layout.
- A warm layer for the wait before your wave; the hall is cooler than you expect standing still, and December mornings outside can be near freezing.
- A bottle and the race nutrition you have practiced with — with a caveat: the Music City Center’s own planning guide says no outside food or beverage may be brought onto the premises, and HYROX has not published a Nashville-specific exception. Eat your pre-race meal before you enter, rely on the aid stations inside, and check the athlete guide in race week for what is allowed through athlete check-in.
- Optional: gloves for the sled pull and farmers carry, a spare shirt for the finish-line photo.
Weather
Mid-December in Nashville is proper winter-jacket weather: chilly days, nights around freezing and a fair chance of rain. The race is indoors; check the forecast the week of, and pack a warm jacket and something waterproof for the walk over and the shakeout run along the river.
