Race weekend logistics — HYROX Dallas, TX 2026
The practical stuff the official page skips, written for first-timers. Updated 2026-09-09; schedules stay provisional until HYROX publishes individual start times, so confirm your wave on the official event page before you travel.
Getting to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center
The race is in Halls B and C of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 S. Griffin Street, Dallas, TX 75202, on the south edge of downtown. HYROX calls Texas its biggest market, and Dallas has grown to a five-day event this season — Wednesday through Sunday, November 18–22. Last season’s edition was billed as USAA HYROX Dallas; the 2026 page currently lists it as plain HYROX Dallas, so do not be thrown if the name on your ticket differs from last year’s.
One thing that changed this year: the DART rail station underneath the convention center closed in January 2026 for the city’s construction project and is expected to stay closed for roughly three years. Rail still gets you close — the Red and Blue Lines now stop at the neighboring stations (Union Station to the north and Cedars to the south are each a short walk) — but do not plan on stepping off a train inside the building. From DFW, DART’s Orange Line runs from Terminal A into downtown in about 50 minutes for $3; from Love Field, the free Love Link bus connects to Inwood/Love Field station and the Green or Orange Line, about 20 minutes into the center.
Parking
The convention center’s own parking is a garage plus one surface lot, both run by ACE Parking, first-come first-served, priced per day per entry with no in-and-out:
- Convention Center Garage — under the building at 650 S. Griffin Street. The venue’s current published rate is $20 per day.
- Lot C — the surface lot beside the building, $17 per day; the closest overflow when the garage fills.
- Beyond those, downtown Dallas has plenty of commercial garages within a few blocks at their own event rates; if you are staying at the Omni, ask the hotel about its garage.
- With five days of waves, the early-morning Men’s and Doubles starts are the busy windows — arrive with a margin.
Where to stay
The Omni Dallas Hotel is next door to the convention center and is the obvious choice for early waves. It is normally linked to the building by a sky bridge, but the convention center’s construction project has disrupted that connection, so confirm the current walking route with the hotel rather than counting on an indoor walk. Within a 15-minute walk you also have Aloft Dallas Downtown, the Lorenzo Hotel, and the Magnolia; the Hyatt Regency by Reunion Tower is a slightly longer walk west.
Dallas has plenty of hotels, but the Omni and the closest handful will be in demand for a five-day event in HYROX’s biggest market — book as soon as your race day is confirmed rather than waiting for your individual start time, which only arrives about three days out.
Check-in and race-day flow
Your individual start time is published about three days before the event and cannot be changed, so plan travel around your division’s window rather than a specific hour until then.
- Bring government-issued photo ID (the rulebook requires it, together with your registration confirmation). Nobody can check in on your behalf.
- Two different 90-minute rules: the check-in desk for your division opens 90 minutes before that division’s first wave, but you can only check in from 90 minutes before your own assigned start time. Arrive inside your window, not before.
- Want to get in earlier to watch or settle your nerves? Go via the Spectator Check-In desk with your athlete ticket and ID.
- Aid stations run before, during, and after the race, and the Thunderdome viewing area overlooks the floor if you want to study the course before your wave.
- Wear the wristband from check-in if you want race photos — the official photographer’s selfie search only finds you with it visible.
- Age-group ceremonies happen after every athlete in a division has finished. If you podium on a weekday, go to the Help Desk with ID for free access to the ceremony and your flag; anyone coming with you needs a spectator ticket.
Weekend schedule (provisional)
Five days this year, and the published schedule is provisional; treat it as the shape of the week and check the official page for your final wave. Every time below is a start-wave window, not a finish: add your own race time (and the ceremony, if you are in contention) before booking anything for afterwards.
- Wednesday, Nov 18 and Thursday, Nov 19 — identical days: Men and Adaptive Men 8:00–9:30, Doubles Men 10:00–11:40, Doubles Women 12:20–14:50, Women and Adaptive Women 15:00–17:30, Doubles Mixed 18:10–20:30.

- Saturday, Nov 21 — Men and Adaptive Men 8:00–12:20, Doubles Mixed 12:50–17:00, Pro Doubles Women 17:30–18:20, Pro Doubles Men 19:00–20:30.

Tickets, changes, and spectators
Spectator tickets are sold separately from athlete entries. Athlete tickets are locked at purchase unless you bought a Flex add-on, and every Flex deadline falls at 7:59 AM in the event’s time zone: Lite Flex allows one name change until 7:59 AM the day before your race day; full Flex adds the same name change plus a refund window (100% until 7:59 AM 31 days before your race day, 50% until 7:59 AM 7 days before), and refunds exclude the Flex and service fees. Changes go through your HYROX account. No event transfers or division changes exist this season, and Flex cannot be added after the fact.
What to bring
- Government-issued photo ID and your ticket on your phone.
- Running shoes with grip you have already trained in — expect a hard indoor floor with turf strips at the sleds and lunges, the usual HYROX layout.
- A light layer for the wait before your wave; the hall is cooler than you expect standing still.
- A bottle and the race nutrition you have practiced with — with a caveat: the convention center’s own attendee FAQ says it does not allow outside food or beverages, and HYROX has not published a Dallas-specific exception. Eat your pre-race meal before you enter, rely on the aid stations inside, and check the athlete guide in race week for what is allowed through athlete check-in.
- Optional: gloves for the sled pull and farmers carry, a spare shirt for the finish-line photo.
Weather
Late November in Dallas is usually mild and dry — jacket mornings, pleasant afternoons, with the occasional cold front. The race is indoors, so it only matters for the walk from the station or garage and your shakeout run — check the forecast the week of; a light jacket usually covers it.
